The combination power receptacle and remote hazard indicator furnishes isolated power for the portable X-ray or laser machines.
The integration of the isolated power receptacle and the remote hazard indicator within one enclosure eliminates an additional separate wall box for the indicator, and allows the power and indicator alarm circuits to be installed in one conduit.
The 60 ampere, 3 wire, twist-lock receptacle will accept the 50 and 60 ampere portable X-ray plug delineated by NFPA 56A. The power receptacle is angled downward to allow unrestrained insertion of the plug and a downward draping of the heavy power cord.
The remote hazard indicator consists of SAFE, HAZARD, and SILENCED indicator lights. (see data sheet RHI-1).
The front trim is 304 stainless steel, with a #4 finish, attached to a code grade steel, baked enamel backbox with stainless steel machine screws. The power receptacle cover door is hinged with a stainless steel continuous hinge and a positive latch to securely close the door when not in use.
Two models are available; one for use with an interlocking pushbutton station (XRRHI-1), and one that automatically activates the power circuit when the door is opened (XRRHI-2).
An integral switch behind the door will activate the power and alarm circuits when the door is opened more than 20 degrees. With the power cord and plug inserted into the receptacle, the door will remain open at approximately 45 degrees. Upon removal of the plug, the door will close, deactivating the circuits, even if it is not completely latched.
