Security Patient Console

The Security Patient Console [PSC] shall be manufactured by Hospital Systems, Inc Pittsburg, CA 94565 U.S.A. in accord The PSC™ Series Patient Console.

1. Basic Construction

Backbox shall be a code gauge, formed aluminum trough with a combination of 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch knockouts on top and bottom of the backbox. A preformed aluminum end cap shall be permanently attached to the backbox. A powder coated locking fascia panel shall be field attached to the backbox assembly by the installing contractor using screws provided by Hospital Systems, Inc. Electrical conduit runs to the knockouts and wiring within the console shall be the responsibility of the electrical contractor. Medical gas outlets shall be installed in the consoles by the mechanical contractor. Individual fixed barriers in the backbox shall be pre-installed by Hospital Systems, Inc. at the factory to separate different voltages and mechanical services.

2. Security Door

The security door shall be made of 16ga steel, powder coated, Antique White, with a full width hinge and minimum of two locks. The door folds down flat against the wall to allow maximum clearance for any medical gas devices. Stainless steel is also available.

3. Components

POWER OUTLETS. Receptacles shall be the type and quantity as shown on the drawings and specified. Unless otherwise noted 2 pole, 3 wire, rated at 20 amperes, 120 Volt, Hospital Grade receptacles shall be provided.

MEDICAL GAS STATION OUTLETS. Oxygen, vacuum, medical air, evacuation, and nitrous oxide outlets shall be as indicated in plans and specifications. All outlets when provided by Hospital Systems, Inc. will be shipped loose. The mechanical contractor will install.
